George-Alfred Husband

Currently, I am a Teignbridge representative on the Governance Board and Mutual Development Group at the South Devon Healthcare Trust. I was originally elected in 2007 and am now in my second period which does end until 2013.

I am a former company director, and a former owner of a local store and newspaper agency.

When diagnosed with prostate cancer, I was relieved to discover that it was in its early stages, and I was treated with radiotherapy.

This discovery, and other various incapacities that I have experienced, have caused me to be deeply committed to helping with health problems.

I have served  as Chairman of Link Devon - Health and Social Care -which will soon become part of ‘Health watch (England).

I have also help to form a ‘Patient Participation Group’ at The Cricket field Surgery (Newton Abbot) , as the ‘Patients’ Voice’.
